Favorite Radio????

Does anyone have a vote for their favorite radio?
I will submit my own.
For HF - I love my Yaesu FT-1000MP MKV - Great rig, does everything I want it to, and does it well (and at 200 watts). My only wish would be for it to do 6 meters without needing the FTV-1000 transverter. Sorry Stan. I'm not giving it up!
For VHF - No question. The Yaesu FT-736R. I had one, traded it to Shawn, and missed it so much I bought another one at Dayton. I tried to love a Kenwood TS-790, and it is a close second, but I dont have to think to run a 736. I have learned to love its 25 watts.
For overall mobile portable, etc. - Icom IC-706. I have had several of these thru the years, and currently have two - an original and a MK IIG. The only thing it doesn't do well is Field Day, as the receiver's front end isn't quite up to that many radios that close.
HT- Yaesu VX-5R. Small enough that you dont think you're lugging around a brick, yet big enough that you dont feel like you're missing something with a small ht.
Any other comments?

well, being out of work since i've been a licensed operator has hampered me from getting any equipment. I have a Motorola HT750 UHF that has 4 channels. I get decent reception when i'm outside with it, however, i only seem to be hitting the repeater on 2 of the 4 channels. So i'll say that's my favorite HT SO FAR!

My favorite radio is my Yaesu FT-736R. It does 2-432 and I have the optional 220 & 1296 installed and I have the 6 meter module as well. It was designed primarily as a satellite radio but most people use it for VHF/UHF contesting. These radios were introduced in 1987 and discontinued in the 90's. They are getting more scarce and more expensive. If you can find one for under $1200 (with 1 extra module) iit's a bargain.
