Since upgrading my ticket to general, I've acquired my first HF rig (Yaesu FT897) and manual tuner (Palstar AT2K).  I have a connection to the PSE&G network through a MFJ powersupply, but have not selected the most critical component - the antenna(s).  This is where I need help.  I'm looking for assistance in selecting a good beginner antenna so I can finally get on the air on HF.

I have a decent size backyard with a few decent height trees that would make good candidates for hanging a antenna or 2 from.  Also looking for suggestions/ideas for a ideal location within my home that will become "my shack".
